We want everyone to be able to play!
We ask that those requiring financial assistance with our registration fee(s) to seek such through one of the local organizations providing such -- generally JumpStart, OutReach (representatives at various community centres), Family & Children's Services, or.... other as available to you.
For City of Kitchener residents, Canadian Tire's JumpStart program is a good starting point. In addition, both the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo offer their residents funding assistance through their Leisure Access programs with slightly different benefits:
We urge those requiring assistance to access their appropriate Leisure Access program as it offers access to many city programs. While not applicable for help to cover our registrations, we utilize your qualification for LA funding (whenever possible) to "qualify" players for subsidized registration fees -- this does not affect the dollar limit of the card nor your allowance(s). (This eliminates the need for you to provide financial documentation to us.) All we ask is that you pay what you can afford. (You may not quite qualify for LA funding or have exceeded your allowable limit.)
Assistance from the Kitchener Sports Association and donations from sponsors and other participants enable us to offer subsidized fees so everyone gets to play! We thank those who help us offer subsidized fees and keep our program affordable for everyone!
We also have an inventory of baseball gloves for those in need of such. Now, not only does everyone get to play, but play safe and enjoy the game!
First games of "bonus" play!
We plan to resume play after Labour Day with scheduled games and events!
